As part of the campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” the Nomada team participated in a unique training session dedicated to combating domestic violence and implementing the Blue Card procedure. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge and gain a better understanding of the formal and practical aspects of the work carried out by Interdisciplinary Teams and Crisis Intervention Centers.
The workshop was led by Adam Mołdoch, an expert with over 20 years of experience in the field of violence prevention. His extensive knowledge, enriched by practical experience as the chairperson of an Interdisciplinary Team and deputy director of the Crisis Intervention Center in Lublin, enabled us to delve into key issues concerning changes to the Domestic Violence Prevention Act and the practical implementation of the Blue Card procedure.
During the training, we discussed topics such as:
🔹 Key Legal Changes in Combating Domestic Violence;
🔹 Intervention Focus of the Blue Card Procedure;
🔹 Różnicę między przemocą a konfliktem;
🔹 Work with Individuals at Risk of Violence;
🔹 Rules for Completing and Submitting Blue Card Forms (“A,” “B,” “C,” “D”);
🔹 The Role of Interdisciplinary Teams and Non-Governmental Organizations;
🔹 Common Mistakes by Helpers and How to Avoid Them;
🔹 Myths and Stereotypes Related to Combating Domestic Violence;
The meeting concluded with a discussion and exchange of experiences and best practices. The knowledge gained will allow us to act even more effectively on behalf of those experiencing violence and their loved ones.
We thank Adam Mołdoch for the inspiring and substantive workshop, as well as our partners, including UNHCR Poland, Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, Choose Love, and all our donors, for their support, which enables us to continually improve our competencies and offer reliable assistance to our clients.
