Nina Ptak
Vice President of the Association, specialist in gender-based violence. A feminist, leader, and strategist. At Nomada, she leads a team supporting foreign nationals with experiences of GBV (gender-based violence) and co-manages the organization’s processes.
Privately, she enjoys traveling the world, absorbing sounds and visuals, sitting in the bushes, reflecting on the state of humanity, and cracking dry jokes.

Magdalena Bera
Vice President of the Association, a cultural studies and Ukrainian studies specialist educated at Jagiellonian University, a psychosocial skills trainer (INTRA), and a teacher of Polish as a foreign language (Spoko Polish Foundation). She gained experience in international non-formal education projects and German NGOs.
She has been associated with Nomada since February 2022 – starting as a Consultant, then becoming the Coordinator of the Consulting Team, a Project Manager, and also working in a team supporting migrant and refugee women with experiences of gender-based violence (GBV). Since 2025, she has held the position of Vice President of the Association.
In her personal life, she loves potted plants, basking in the sun, and hunting for treasures in second-hand shops.

attorney-at-law Filip Rakoczy
A lawyer and academic teacher. His academic work focuses on analyzing the connections between legal practice and politics. He is the author of several scholarly publications on legal education, the social role of lawyers, and the relationships between law and other areas of social life, particularly politics. He has significant teaching experience, including conducting academic courses and training sessions for legal professionals, including court staff and judges. He has participated in numerous national and international conferences on legal theory and philosophy.
In recent years, he has been actively involved in work supporting groups at risk of social exclusion, such as people experiencing homelessness or financial hardship, national and ethnic minorities, and migrants. He has authored many opinions on draft legislative acts and occasionally handles matters at the intersection of law and politics.
In his private life, he loves traveling, especially by bike or on foot with a backpack and tent. He spends his free time playing strategy and war games, reading science fiction books, and engaging in sports.

attorney-at-law Olga Kosmalska
A legal advisor, she graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and completed her legal training at the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Poznań.
She has been working with Nomada since 2022. In her work, she focuses on supporting refugees and helping all individuals with migration experience understand their rights in Poland. She gained professional experience in corporate law firms and courts.
A nature, movement, and food enthusiast. In her free time, she dives and protests.

Oleksandr Ostapchuk
An artist, painter, and cultural activist from Ukraine. As a migrant himself, Oleksandr deeply understands the needs of people arriving in Poland. His previous experience working at an employment agency provided him with additional tools, skills, and, most importantly, expertise in matters related to residence and work legalization.
At Nomada, he supports people fleeing the war as a consultant and translator.
In his free time, he paints in his attic studio and explores world history and culture.

Alina Berdnyk
Alina comes from Ukraine. She is from Ukraine. In Nomada, she has been supporting individuals who left Ukraine during the outbreak of the full-scale war since 2023.
Her life experience enables Alina to effectively assist those in need. She is the first point of contact for clients. For a long time, she provided legal support to individuals regarding the disbursement of child benefits (800+) for people with UKR status.
She is a co-founder of a private home gallery. As a hobby, she makes ceramic rings.

Kinga Bacewicz
A graduate of Political Science and Journalism at the University of Wrocław, as well as Postgraduate Eastern Studies and the SWPS School of Trainers in Warsaw.
She has experience as a coordinator of educational, cultural, and social projects, as well as a trainer in intercultural relations.
A passionate traveler, mountain enthusiast, and election observer as part of OSCE (ODIHR) missions.
She works at the Association as a Project Manager for an initiative funded by UNHCR. Through this project, NOMADA provides legal assistance and consultancy services to migrants in Wrocław. She is responsible for coordinating the team’s work and maintaining communication with grant providers.

Tomasz Bauer
Community Expert. At Nomada, they focus broadly on empowering migrant and minority communities living in Wrocław, integrating newcomers through social mentorship, and combating human trafficking and forced labor.
They gained field experience and cultural knowledge through years of travel and involvement in local community projects across European, Middle Eastern, and African countries.
As a yoga instructor, they strive to balance engagement with the unpredictability of the world with inner peace and the routine of practice.
They are also studying psychology, applying the knowledge they acquire to provide better emotional support to people in crisis.

Roman Klyuz
A mechanical engineer by education, he lived and worked as a photographer in Kyiv until 2014. At the onset of the war, he moved to Poland. There, he became a barista, roaster, and coffee trainer.
At Nomada, he works “on the ground” as a community worker. With many years of experience living in Poland, he understands the needs of people migrating from Ukraine.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling and discovering new places.

Yuliya Mazurets
Consultant, field worker. She describes herself as the “ear and eye” of the Ukrainian team at Nomada. She gathers important information for our clients and always has a few useful tips up her sleeve. She is a person with migration experience, originally from Ukraine, and has been living in Poland for 10 years.
In her free time, she engages in art: painting on walls and creating small handicrafts. She rides a scooter and loves cooking.

Katarzyna Zięba
A caseworker and field worker at the Association, specializing in combating gender-based violence (GBV). She holds a degree in Social Work from the University of Wrocław and is currently studying Contemporary International Migration at the University of Warsaw. She gained experience as a street worker on the Balkan route and through humanitarian efforts at the Polish-Belarusian border. She is particularly interested in migration in the context of inequality and neocolonialism.
In her free time, she reads reportage, listens to music, takes care of her two cats, and learns Arabic.

Omo, Anna Galik
Political scientist, field researcher, and experienced community worker.
She has been with Nomada since 2011, providing support to individuals who have experienced or are at risk of hate-motivated violence. She focuses on education about the rights of people with migration experience in Poland – conducting training on preventing and responding to hate-motivated violence. She is also a co-author of publications on hate-motivated violence.
A fan of observing, letters, and comics.

Adrianna Klimaszewska
Activist, social advocate, and feminist. A sexuality and anti-discrimination educator. Named Wrocławian of the Year 2021. Co-founder and president of the Pink Box Foundation, which strives to ensure universal access to sanitary pads and tampons in public spaces. Recognized as one of the “30 Creative Minds of Wrocław” in 2020. By education, a philologist and journalist. Completed postgraduate studies in Roma Studies: Knowledge and Social Practices.
Currently pursuing Process-Oriented Psychology training. Mother to Tadzio and Nina.

Gabriela Smoła
She started at Nomada as a volunteer, where for almost a year she had the opportunity to support the education of children from the Roma community.
Currently, as an educator, she supports Polish language learning, leads integration classes, and creative workshops for children and youth with migration experience. She is studying philosophy, although she is discovering that she is more drawn to practice than theory.
Apart from the joy of working with children, she enjoys large amounts of tahini, yoga practice, tattoos, and long conversations.

Agnieszka Szczepaniak
A graduate of ethnology at the University of Wrocław and a one-year course for third-sector management staff, NGO Managers PROMENGO. Trained and experienced in various areas of work related to migration and exclusion. A board member until 2023, currently responsible for fundraising and relations with grantmakers and donors.
A feminist, a book devourer, and a fan of intercultural human interactions.

Maciej Mandelt
A human rights defender and social activist, affiliated with Nomada since 2012. From 2017 to 2023, he served as a board member and president of the association. He began as an assistant for Roma families from Romania. After finishing his fieldwork, he co-created and implemented the organization’s fundraising strategy.
Since the fall of 2023, he has been leading the communications team and developing advocacy at Nomada. He is interested in art and plant-based cooking.
In his free time, he runs middle-distance races.

Anka Francukiewicz
She holds a Master’s degree in Arts and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Indian Philology. A passionate yogi, traveler, and Sanskrit scholar. In her free time, she prefers to spend time in nature – without signal, but with a stack of books.
At Nomada, she is responsible for coordinating the financial aspects of projects and administrative matters.

Natalia Kruszelnicka-Guzy
An employee in the administration department. She has been supporting the activities of Nomada and other social initiatives working for human rights protection for many years. She co-founded the Wrocław Center for Cultural Reanimation – a space that experiments at the intersection of culture and social activism.
She loves to travel and discover the culture and customs of the people and places she visits.
