What does this mean?

  • The process begins with an assessment – we analyze each person’s situation and identify their needs.
  • The case worker presents available solutions and, together with the client, creates an action plan.
  • Social work: assessment of needs, action planning, support in gaining independence.
  • Case workers provide support in accessing public services and handling formal matters, monitor progress in clients’ cases, and offer material and housing assistance.
  • The explanation of the person’s situation and the available courses of action, as well as support in handling matters independently (e.g., where to go to submit a correctly filled-out application, etc.).

One form of support offered by Nomada is assistance which is provided by the Intercultural Integration Team. The goal of the team is to integrate Nomada’s clients into the local community and the network of public services.

If migrants face difficulties in interacting with Polish institutions due to language barriers or cultural differences, we assist them in these interactions. We provide assistance during visits to the Voivodeship Office, the Employment Office, the Social Welfare Center, the Police, Border Guard, or the doctor.

In cases that require specialized knowledge, we refer them to experts from the legal and consulting departments, GBV, PBA, or educational fields. In cooperation with MOPS Wrocław, we support Afghan families and operate an emergency housing program for migrants at risk of homelessness.
