Since its inception, the Nomada Association has operated a free counseling center for migrants and refugees. Over the years, we have strengthened our competencies, and new experts have joined our team. Currently, our legal and consultancy teams provide advice in the areas of residency and asylum law, labor law, family law, as well as access to benefits and social services. We offer counseling at Nomada’s office in Wrocław at Dubois Street 11-13 and at the guarded center for foreigners in Krosno Odrzańskie. Since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have also reached collective accommodation centers in Wrocław and Lower Silesia with our services.
Documentation of stay
- Consultations with individuals applying for residency legalization
- Assistance in completing residency legalization applications
- Providing information on the required documents
- Verifying attachments to applications
- Support in scheduling appointments for submitting applications at the office or collecting residency cards.
International protection
- Consultations regarding the process of applying for international protection
- Assistance in preparation for the procedure
- In cases of subsidiary protection, help in filling out the questionnaire issued by the border guards after accepting the application.
Issues concerning new residents of Wrocław:
- Support in matters related to social insurance (ZUS) and social assistance (MOPS).
Documents issued in Ukraine:
- Consultations and assistance with issues related to Ukrainian documents
- Information on consular services
Bias-motivated violence (BMV):
- Assessment of the case before referral to a specialist in counteracting BMV
- Interpreting during visits to the police station and other institutions.
Gender-based violence (GBV):
- assessment of the case
- referral to the specialists on GBV who provide complex support
