Across Poland, far-right politicians are fueling an anti-immigrant campaign around Foreigners’ Integration Centers—institutions that they themselves originally designed and established.

These centers are neither “camps” nor “facilities for illegal migrants.” They are places where migrants and refugees in Poland can receive support, including legal advice, psychological assistance, Polish language courses, and administrative information.

Maciej Mandelt from the Nomada Association, which helps run these centers, commented in Gazeta Wyborcza:

“I am deeply concerned by how the topic of migration is increasingly being exploited by the far right to conduct a brutal, racist campaign based on manipulation, lies, and deliberate disinformation. This is a calculated effort to incite hatred for political gain.
Politicians should take responsibility for the safety of all residents rather than cynically exploiting fear for their own interests.”

Disinformation and racist rhetoric have real consequences. Violence in public discourse inevitably leads to violence in everyday life.

We call on national and local authorities to firmly condemn racist rhetoric, combat disinformation, and hold those spreading hate accountable. Silence is complicity.

Nomada has been supporting migrants in Poland for years—and we will not stop.
