Nomada has existed for 11 years and since the beginning we have been focused on defending human
rights by responding to the various needs of migrants and minorities in Wrocław, Poland. Understanding
the perspectives of the people we work with is the most important to us and we want to continue growing
relationships with our clients. In response to their needs we have grown our legal counselling service and
provided assistance and community work to those who are in danger or have experienced bias-motivated
violence. We also educate the Polish community and we consider ourselves cultural translators and
activists.
We want to develop the “Solidarity not Charity” project online, so we intend the geographic reach to be
global. However our organization is focused on Poland and Wrocław and the expats and migrants living
here in our city.
The main goals of the project are:
developing, growing and diversifying streams of revenue for our organization,
strengthening our constituency by reaching new target audiences and creating a platform for building a
community of Nomada allies and recipients of our activities.
