Welcome to the third edition of NOMADA’s art auction, an event that first took place in 2012. The income from this edition of the auction will be destined for the direct support of victims of racist violence.
Since its creation NOMADA has been running a project “Sukurs – against bias motivated crime”. Within theframework of this project we support people who experience hate crime because of their origins, religion or skin color. We maintain contacts with migrants, interview them about their situation and intervene when a racist incident occurs. We support people who have experienced hate crime at court hearings and we monitor the progress of their cases. Above all, we do not leave them alone with they problem.
We believe that racism is a social problem that must be fought for the good of all of us. Allowing racism and xenophobia in public debate, especially in relation to refugees, makes this problem urgent. We want to counteract it, but first of all we want to support those who are attacked and harassed because of their origins. Solidarity with migrants is our main goal.
Therefore, on International Day Against Racism we would like to invite you to take part in our auction and help us to combat racism and xenophobia.
This event can happen thanks to your generosity and that of the contemporary artists taking part.
We will keep you informed about the works of art avalaible at the auction. Just follow us on facebook to see theoutstanding artists who have offered us their work.
