More than <\/span><span lang=\"en\">56,000<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">people died there<\/span><span lang=\"en\">: <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Jews<\/span><span lang=\"en\">, <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Sinti and<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Roma,<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Jehovah&#8217;s Witnesses<\/span><span lang=\"en\">, homosexuals, <\/span><span lang=\"en\">homeless<\/span><span lang=\"en\">, political prisoners, <\/span><span lang=\"en\">and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Together<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">with other young European people<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">from Germany,<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Poland<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">and Romania we<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">traveled there<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">to &#8220;<\/span><span lang=\"en\">meet with <\/span><span lang=\"en\">history.&#8221;<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Tours and meetings led<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">by<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Zsuzsa<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">of<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">the Buchenwald<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Memorial gave us grounds to begin the discussion on current<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">forms of discrimination<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">and<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">the continuing<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">history of<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">prejudice and<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">unequal treatment<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">of certain groups in Europe.<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Our attention caught especially the current situation of Roma people<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">in Europe.<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">As participants we had<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">the opportunity to share<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">our observations (insights) and knowledge about this matter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">During our stay in<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Buchenwald<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">we managed to make a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Buchenwald-Project\/1456055241356538\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a><\/span> <span lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Buchenwald-Project\/1456055241356538\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">profile<\/a>,<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/buchenwald-project.blogspot.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blog &#8220;Meetings with history&#8221;,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC0ZAtAMin8Ry_Qxch2BPaDw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">you tube chanel<\/a> <span lang=\"en\">where one can read<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">about our discussions, mutual learning process and about our actions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">The project \u201cMeetings with<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">history &#8211;<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">the legacy of<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">ongoing<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">fight against discrimination, racism and<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">xenophobia\u201d was <\/span><span lang=\"en\">co-financed <\/span><span lang=\"en\">by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stiftung-evz.de\/start.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Foundation<\/a><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stiftung-evz.de\/start.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <span lang=\"en\">EVZ<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en\">, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnwm.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the <\/a><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnwm.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"en\">Polish<\/span><span lang=\"en\">&#8211;<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnwm.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">German Youth Cooperation<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">The meeting could be organized<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">thanks to<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">the enormous work<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">of Quantic<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Association<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">(<\/span><span lang=\"en\">Romania) <\/span><span lang=\"en\">and<\/span> <span lang=\"en\">Berlin<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vvn-bda.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"en\">VVN<\/span><span lang=\"en\">&#8211;<\/span><span lang=\"en\">BDA <\/span><span lang=\"en\">(<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vvn-bda.de\"
