Refugees can be deprived of their freedom for up to two years, even though they have committed no crime. Detention primarily affects individuals who are alone and have experienced violence. Among them are also children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People staying in guarded detention centers, such as Lesznowola or K\u0119trzyn, as well as in open centers, like in Bia\u0142a Podlaska or Bezwola, are reaching out to our organization. These are men, women, and children from countries such as Iran, Iraq, Bangladesh, India, Eritrea, Sudan, Somalia, Morocco, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What are the conditions like in the centers?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The food is often unsuitable for the needs of people from other countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People placed in the centers have no contact with their loved ones \u2013 they lack phone top-ups and SIM cards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They lack basic hygiene products and warm clothing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They often arrive with nothing \u2013 they need underwear and shoes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many people reach out to us asking for help, and we don\u2019t always have the ability to respond to every request.
