NOMADA is a human rights organisation based in Wroclaw. We are focused on immigrants, foreigners and ethnic or religious minorities. We want to break stereotypes and prejudices and we strive to shape attitudes of solidarity between people of different backgrounds and social status. Through our activities, we attempt to create relationships based on mutual understanding and good communication.

NOMADA’s main activities are: development and educational projects, monitoring and advocacy, interventional assistance and legal support. We also release publications, hold trainings, conferences and debates.
TEAM
EWA JUPOWIECKA – graduated from Culturar Studies, she is a researcher and a teacher of Polish as a foreign language. She specializes in intercultural and anti-discrimination education and she works with a community of Roma migrants as a family assistant and educator. She is an author of publications on multiculturalism and integration policy.
ANNA GALIK – political scientist, field researcher and experienced community worker. She provides support to people who have experienced, or are exposed to bias motivated violence. She is involved in education regarding the rights of migrants in Poland. Co-author of publications in the field of bias motivated violence.
MACIEJ MANDELT – journalist, in NOMADA in charge of implementing the organization’s financial strategy and networking. Family assistant for the community of Roma migrants and a co-author of publications in this field. He is also a co-author of a toolkit addressed to social workers on work with refugees.
MAGDALENA NAZIMEK – lawyer and PhD student at the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law at the University of Lodz, a graduate of post-graduate studies “Contemporary International Migration”. In NOMADA in charge of counseling service for migrants. Author of publications in the field of human rights, territorial rights and legal ethical problems.
OLYMPIA ŚWIST – philosopher, in NOMADA she is a family assistant and intercultural interpreter for the community of Roma migrants. She also provides support to people who have experienced, or are exposed to bias motivated violence. Co-author of a toolkit addressed to medical staff on work with refugees.
AGNIESZKA SZCZEPANIAK – anthropologist, in NOMADA she is a project coordinator and the person in charge of writing grant applications. She works with a community of Roma migrants as a family assistant and intercultural interpreter. Co-author of a toolkit addressed to medical staff on work with refugees and publications on work with the Roma migrants.
