Since March 2014 we conduct an international project “Discovering effective tools for protecting persons experiencing hate crime” tofether with the Czech organization In Iustitia and the Slovak Ľudia proti rasizmu.
Our community-worker collects information about expectation and needs of people who experience this type of crime. If you are one of these persons, please contact us! We are interested in problems you meet, what should be changed or improved, and what new procedures and mechanisms can be introduced for anyone to feel safe when reporting bias crime.
We also provide training for persons, who by virtue of carrying out their functions, meet with people vulnerable to crimes motivated by prejudice. These include police, people running civil counseling, groups and organizations that may be exposed to such offenses (migrants, religious minorities, LGBTQ community, et al.). The aim of the workshop is to show the perspective of the people expose to bias crimes, problems they encounter, factors that make them reluctant to report these crimes. If you are such a person, and you would like to participate in these workshops – please contact us!
During the project we will prepare a publication on effective support for people experiencing crimes motivated by prejudice. Details coming soon!
